Giffen: Nova is a long way from little Richie Rider

Newsarama has posted an interview with writer Keith Giffen about Annihilation #1, in-stores today. About Nova, Giffen states that “…when you first meet Nova, some time has passed. And he’s a long way from little Richie Rider. He’s been kicked around a bit.” Also, “I keep using the comparison: Nova’s like John Connor from the Terminator movies, when you saw him in the future. He’s fighting a war he knows he can’t win.” He also talks about how he’s writing the six-issue mini-series as a science-fiction war, not a super-hero adventure. He compares the first issue to the first 12 minutes of Saving Private Ryan. Click here for the full interview.
