The Pulse spoke with Marc Sumerak about Spider-Man and Power Pack. Marc hints at a change in format and the possibility of in-continuity stories for Power Pack. Preview pages of issue #4 are included.
The Nova Prime Page is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the man called Nova with a free star-studded fanzine in late February called Rocket Boosters.
It will include original content by Nova creator Marv Wolfman, New Warriors co-creator Tom DeFalco, New Warriors writer Fabian Nicieza, Nova writers Erik Larsen and Dan Abnett, Nova writer/artist Chris Marrinan, Annihilation editor Andy Schmidt, Mini-Marvels creator Chris Giarrusso, and artists Jim Lee, Fred Hembeck and more!
As if all of that isn’t enough of an incentive, I’ve also contributed something that I hope Nova and New Warriors fans will enjoy. So clear some space on your computer! You’re going to love this!
Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, in this week’s New Joe Fridays column at Newsarama, stated that “We’re looking at a June launch” for the new New Warriors series.
Also, when asked if we’ll see more of Cloak & Dagger, Quesada responded “I sure hope so. I’m still waiting for that Cloak and Dagger pitch that’s going to knock my socks off.”
There’s also a couple of new pages of Avengers: The Initiative that feature Justice.
Marvel Comics released solicitations for comics shipping in April. It’s a big month for #1’s for New Warriors fans, as Nova, the six-issue limited series of Loners and the six-issue limited series Avengers: The Initiative all debut. Meanwhile, Robbie Baldwin’s journey continues in Thunderbolts and Hulk and Power Pack gears up to its second issue. In the reprint department, Robbie’s journey as “The Accused” is represented in Civil War: Front Line Books 1 & 2, Nova’s classic Spider-Man crossover from the ’70s gets the black & white treatment (again) in Essential Spider-Man Volume 8, and Namorita’s mother Namora returns to the land of the living in the Agents of Atlas hardcover, which also includes Namora’s Golden Age first appearance from Marvel Mystery Comics #82.
