Added Wolverine: Sabretooth Reborn

Wolverine v4 313 - Cloak declaresCloak and Dagger return as supporting characters to a solo Wolverine tale. The story is a 4-parter but the duo don’t appear in the second chapter; they appear in Wolverine volume 4 #310 and 312-313. All three issues have been placed in Phase Seven of Limbo Part 4.

[UPDATE: According to Crushing Krisis, this story is probably set earlier in time than when it was published to explain the return of Sabretooth in an earlier story arc. So I’ve moved it to near the end of Phase Six of Limbo Part 4. I also realized that it looks like Phase Seven is tentatively done, so look for the start of Phase Eight soon.]

[UPDATE 2: I missed that Cloak and Dagger have their traditional powers in this appearance, despite the power swap they had in Spider-Island: Cloak and Dagger, released prior to this story. In their next appearance, they still have their swapped powers so this story must take place even earlier, between Fear Itself and Spider-Island. These issues have been moved to Phase Five of Limbo Part 4.]

The most significant appearance for Cloak is Wolverine vol. 4 #310, where he appears on 9 pages (10 if you count the 2-page spread as separate pages). Tyrone spends the issue weakened from an off-panel battle that occured before the issue started. He’s left strung up on the top of the Empire State Building. The issue opens with Wolverine finding Cloak there. Sabretooth had kidnapped Dagger to compel Cloak to free Romulus, whom Cloak had pulled into the Darkforce Dimension in Wolverine: Origins #48. It’s not explained how Wolverine was tipped off to Cloak’s predicament before some other hero like Spider-Man happened to find him first. Dagger only shows up for 2 pages, and is mostly a damsel in distress here, which is disappointing. There is a third page where her scream is heard by Cloak and Wolverine.

Wolverine v4 310 - Cloak has heard of people coming back to life
“You’ve never heard of anyone coming back from the dead?” -Cloak to Wolverine

Both Cloak and Dagger show up in Wolverine v4 #312 for 2 pages, only 1 panel each page. They don’t say anything. Wolverine needed Cloak to teleport him in to go after Romulus. Once they’re inside, Wolverine takes off to fight Sabretooth and Romulus on his own, and Cloak and Dagger stay behind with Remus, who claims to be the twin sister of Romulus and helped lead Wolverine to Romulus’ home. Not necessary as a Cloak and Dagger appearance, although there’s a panel that shows a cool effect right before Cloak teleports in (see below).

The conclusion in Wolverine v4 #313 has Cloak on 4 pages, and Dagger only on 2 pages. After waiting on the sidelines, Cloak teleports Dagger and Remus in to help Wolverine fight Sabretooth and Romulus. Dagger attacks Sabretooth and then inexplicably vanishes for the rest of the scene. Then Cloak has a somewhat vague fight with Sabretooth. They both declare they’re going to do something and then never seem to do it. Then Sabretooth abruptly shows up on the other side of the room with a bomb. Cloak teleports Dagger and Remus away before the explosion. Then both Cloak and Dagger show up in a panel during the epilogue montage where they’re vacationing with Wolverine and Remus on an island in the South Pacific. Wolverine’s narration mentions Cloak and Dagger are planning to go back to New York. Not all that significant as a Cloak and Dagger appearance.
